The beauty of Africa is in her natural resources and vast wildlife, and every day we are reminded about how easy it is for us all to keep her this way.

This is why we here at Ramzteq are behind the ban on single use plastic, and we would like you all to join us in playing our part in preserving this beautiful continent and the planet.

Single-use plastics, or disposable plastics, are plastics used only once before they are thrown away. The use of single-use plastic is responsible for the pollution on our streets, and our water. Litter can be the first stage in a waste stream that enters waterways as plastics tossed on the street are washed away by rain or travel via storm drains into rivers and streams. Our waterway plastic pollution is particularly concentrated: Just ten rivers carry 93 percent of the world’s total amount of plastic that enters the oceans via rivers each year according to the NRDC.

Example of these are:

  • Plastic Straws
  • Plastic Straws
  • Plastic groceries shopping bags
  • Takeaway containers
  • Plastic water and cooldrink bottles
  • Plastic forks and knives
